I don't think it would be possible for printers or copiers of any kind to have good relationships with humans. It's like they wait until we REALLY need something to hopelessly break down.

Maybe the guy is tired of having to always "read between the lines." No matter how hard he tries, he seems to always get "reamed." The printer doesn't understand that these issues are not just as simple as "black and white."
